A qualified inspector must conduct the inspection. The inspector will give you a report of the overall condition of the house as well as a list of any repairs the home may need.

 The inspection will give you a better understanding of the   home's general condition and how things operate. Please note  that the home inspection need to be done in a timely manner  or you could lose your right to have repairs made by the seller.

Typically, the inspection will include things like: Foundation, roof, structural, walls, doors, floors, fireplaces, chimneys, electrical and plumbing systems, heating and cooling systems etc.. If the home is in need of major structural work you may want to reconsider your offer.

The inspection will also give you an estimate of the remaining life span of the various components. Typically, the cost of an inspection ranges between $225 and $350.

There are also a number of companies that offer a one-year-warranty of the systems of your new home. These usually run in the price range of $249 to $350.
